Monica Zetterlund, one of the 1900s most popular Swedish artists, grew up in Hagfors, Värmland. She later became one of Sweden's foremost jazz legends, and was deeply mourned at her passing in 2005. The movie "Monica Z" was launched in 2013, and quickly became a huge success and praised worldwide. If possible, it has made Monica Zetterlund even more loved by the people than she already was.
Monica was described as "a lingonberry in a cocktail glass" in the famous poem "The Eternal" by Tage Danielsson. The contrast that occurred when the countryside girl was put in smoky jazz clubs in New York, might be imitated by putting up this classic embroidery design in a city apartment or a studio.
This embroidery pattern is part of the Svarta Fårets collection.
