Bellman
Obviously, we want to offer you a cross stitch pattern with butterflies!
The first thing we at The Folklore Company think of when we hear the word butterfly, is spring - and the song "The Winged Butterfly is Seen at Haga”. This popular tune by Carl Michael Bellman is the 64th song in his collection Fredman's Epistles, issued year 1790th. These songs depict both the beautiful and the ugly in the 1700s Stockholm. They reflect the ugly, the beautiful, life, death and everything in between - often in a salon drunk shimmer. Carl Michael Bellman lived between 1740 and 1795, and is considered as one of Swedish national poets.
