"Let the heart be a part” was the name of a revue Sonya Hedenbratt (1931-2001) did with Sten-Åke Cederhök. This Gothenburg icon was a jazz singer, actress and revue artist, who along with the Swedish artists Hagge Geigert, Sten-Åke Cederhök and Git Gay was one of the brightest stars on the Gothenburg’s revue scene.
After winning a song contest in 1951, Sonya also became known as "Gothenburg’s Doris Day."
During her long career, she worked with some of the greatest Swedish entertainers at the time; Hasse and Tage, Beppe Wolgers, Arne Domnérus, Svend Assmussen amongst others.
"Let the heart be a part" is, and forever will be, associated with Sonya Hedenbratt and Gothenburg!
